Commencing in South Australia in 1995, Testel operated as a specialist electrical safety testing and support service. Due to a growing number of electrical appliances within the workplace, the regulation of electrical appliances became a leading concern with OHS currently regulating electrical testing standards. This allowed Testel to lead the way in electrical testing and Test & Tag services to satisfy client needs. With a client base covering an excess of 15,000 sites, our database is currently managing well over 3,000,000 separate records.
Testel services all states in Australia. The cost structure and service dates are based upon the location of the site.
Metropolitan sites are serviced all year round. Generally, no travel costs will apply.
We travel to country or regional centres on a country run. Most regional centres are visited on a 3-monthly basis. A country run generally consists of servicing multiple sites over a 3-week period. Travel costs are shared proportionally amongst participant sites.
Remote sites are serviced at call. Generally a technician will travel directly to/from the site/client sites and costs are specific to the client.
Our extensive list of clients includes businesses of all types and sizes in private and public sectors. Electrical testing is our core service as we are able to service large numbers with a system designed to accommodate organizations of any size with single or multiple sites. The management system is database driven, it is independent of the mobility of staff and will ensure timely reminders.
Clients range from:
Testel uses a proprietary database called TES, to which we own the copyright. It is a powerful management tool with a range of features, which significantly reduce test time and operator time. This in turn reduces service costs whilst enhancing the accuracy and quality of our service.
TES is an interactive database. Clients can view a range of reports on their own desktop computer using the source data from the Testel server. Available reports include performance reports, budget forecasts, test results etc. As a further feature clients will have access to edit or append the data stored on the Testel server. This means contact details can be changed, new items can be purchased at a site and their details added to the database by authorized personnel, and so on.
Existing records, which have been created in other systems, can be captured by TES. All data collected by TES can be transferred or reformatted to be compatible with other commercially available software.
Testel employs a team of licensed electricians that are supported by a range of other staff. Testel can conveniently test each of the following types of electrical items:
Our staff conduct the range of testing to meet your specifications. Equipment is labelled, data is recorded, plans are drawn, repairs are made, reports are provided and the system is managed. Subject to the nature of items and site location, test engineers generally conduct approximately 180 tests per day. In addition, approximately 25% administration time is required to maintain the data and reporting system.
